Psalm 64: 1-4
“Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked…”
God of the Unknown, The known is bad enough. There is an even more sinister caldron of evil in what we don’t know, can’t see. We peer through the tiny hole in a door. We set up night vision cameras. We think if we can see what we can’t see we can prepare, we can thwart the danger. But some secrets just don’t work that way. We lift up to you today, O Lord, those sitting in the stew of an unknown diagnosis or loved one deployed to parts unknown in a world of upheaval. Cool their brows with your presence so that the fear does not overwhelm them as they wait. Amen
