May the Fourth be with you.
Psalm 102:12-16
“…O Lord…you will rise up and have compassion…”
God of the Rising, what are your Mondays like? What keeps you up at night? What makes you hit the floor running? What makes one rising filled with dread or compassion for you? Our mornings are measured in how much sleep we did or didn’t get. We hit the floor…tentatively, hoping our joints don’t tell us to go back to bed. We shuffle through our morning “twaLET” and chores. While we are taking out the trash, feeding a face or two, deciding how to cover ourselves, you have compassion. We remember when the folks in Genesis were ruining their birthday suit party, you were making clothes for them. In the morning, when we rise, O Lord, help us to know and be grateful for your compassion. Amen.

and also with you...
