What can we do to love the world this week?
Psalm 141: 8-10
“Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I alone escape.”
God of Our Puny Sense of Judgement, We want justice. We want evil punished and goodness protected. We salivate to snack with vengeance and pick our teeth with the bones of our enemies. Our sense of fairness needs to grow up. We consistently think too small. The psalmist captures all this smallness and meanness. We’ve got you too small too. Our justice is good but flawed and brittle. Your justice is defined but not selfish. Gather us into your wide embrace. Help us imagine a justice that is not cruel. Amen

You are part of the world; love that you are a beloved creation of God. Then bless others with who you are.
